This Instagram roundup is way overdue, but here are my favorite looks from my trip to NYC last month! We walked miles on miles every day, so it was important to be both comfy and cute. I loved cozy sweaters and stretchy pants for all of the yummy food I ate (ha!). I can’t wait to get back… but in the meantime, I’ll just keep reminiscing on these photos. Sigh.
Stripes. All day, every day. Any time a friend walks into my closet to borrow something to wear, they immediately note the overwhelming number of striped pieces in my wardrobe. The same thing goes for plaid in the fall/winter, so it only makes sense I pair the two. I mentioned how much wear you can get out of this casual dress when I posted it on Instagram last week. I layered it with a dressy black vest for work and swapped it for this plaid scarf for dinner.
This is such an exciting week for me! I’m slowly sorting through my things after work each day and packing for my big move this weekend! I’m the absolute worst at this though, because I’m way too sentimental. I mean, what the heck am I going to do with my 3 ft tall high school cheerleading megaphone? Or how about that prom dress…
I hope you are having a great week and loving the cold as much as I am. I still can’t believe Thanksgiving is next week! I am going to start working on gift guides soon. So if there’s a special someone you need ideas for, please let me know! Xx
Where are all of my hot natured sisters at? We’ve all done it. You get overly excited that fall is finally here so you throw on your cutest sweater, knowing it’s maybe a degree below 80. Sleeveless turtlenecks have been my favorite go-to this season. They’re season appropriate but light enough to not give you a heat stroke for being festive. This Leith turtleneck is soft and the slit makes it fun.
I grabbed my mule slip-on booties from Target a few months ago on major sale. They’re Dolce Vita and comfortable, so I figured I’d wear them once or twice. Wrong. Girls, I wear these things at least twice a week. They’re different and I clearly have a thing for the nonconvential take on fall staples. Also, Happy Friday Eve! xx
I am a huge fan of blanket scarves all of the time, but especially during this time of the year. Chilly mornings and warm days are an awkward duo. It’s nice to have a layer you can take off or wrap yourself up in. Also, this suede mini is the cutest thing. Wear it with over-the-knee boots to cover up a little more or wedge booties for a dinner date.
Finding time to juggle blogging and work has been a challenge for me… so you have no clue how excited I am to tell you that I am finally moving to the city next weekend! I will be way closer (as in an hour-and-a-half closer each way) to work, giving me precious time back. I can’t wait to jump back into my workout and blog routine. Have a lovely week ladies!
